Frank

Aktuell sind wohl 15 Bestellungen auf der Liste.
Man wird also einige Wochen Geduld brauchen .. ja.

Aber die Produktion läuft....

Good evening

My new M21, awaiting for a good steering servo :)

This design in my eyes has much classic lines compare to M17. I expect less drag at bow,,,, better acceleration, better pointing.
Hope tomorrow the LA TORMENTA will hit the water.
She really looks like a little Marblehead :)

Some pics...

Some note

I think its a big difference compare to M17. Hope it will not sail like a tugboat (this is my personal feeling, not critisizing the design)...the bow of the M17 and the chine dropped down to the bow water level in my eyes acted like a break. Too much drag at low wind conds, especially upwind acceleration.

To have large volume on bow (to avoid nose diving) has its limits, from one speed it acts rather like a drag break and blocks the hull to surf above waves or slide across the waves with fast recovery to surface.

A bit more narrow bow area and the new repositioned chine (or better say bow volume lifting) was a great idea. The M21 looks awesome!!!! Perfect job Andreas!!!!

Unfortunately the weather is not optimal yet, hope at this weekend Ill be able to sail the first time.

My friend owns Brad Gibsons personal ELECTRONICA RG65, so it will be an interesting test.

Hi Peter,

think you will be one of the first owners.
I'm still waiting for ..

In my view the chine direction of the m17 was not perfect.. you described it well. Thats one of the big reasons to think about an update for the design.

Happy that you like the design .. sail fast an have fun!

Electronica will be the perfect benchmark :)

Note, it's sometimes good to have a later production nr.; Fact is that some peanut details of assembling my M21 were not same than on M17 serial production process.

Iv reported to Imre each detail, what to improve, what to change in the method of fabrics layup and assembly process.

Anyway, from aesthetic and structural point of view, the new moulding is incredible.

It was really the best option to take the alloy moulding strategy.

Nun ja .. recht viel lässt sich nicht erkennen.
Imre war aber bei den Bedingungen sehr zufrieden mit dem Boot.

Die nächsten Boote sollen diese Woche noch raus gehen..

Hello Everybody

the last days of February were busy regarding the MANTA 21 maiden runs.
Imre and me in 100km distance but roughly in same wind conditions exactly same time put the new yacht in water.

Saturday I made 2h constant sailing in very shifty and turbulent wind B and C rig test, on Sunday calmed down to A rig rather.

My feeling is very good. Sharp and consistent on upwind (verrry sharp) and well absorbing tail gusts on downwind. If the back getting constant blow, the downwind run is nice fast sinusoida oscillation of the hull, if get strong blow, the nosediving is controllable. Its relatively easy to remove the bow from water with a rude jibe (sure the sail servo cries, but that its job).
On downwind its well visible, on the lifted chine at the bow area the wave sliding up and falling down. So less washed area on the bow sides. Less drag.

Imre and me agreed, that the maneuvering is easier, due to the fact, that approx 5cm of the bow keel time to time gets out from water and in tack it does not break the move. So tacking is faster, easier, less time and energy consumer.

My hull was totally dry!!!! Well made Imre!!!!
The new M21 is an evolution!!!! Well made Andreas!!!!
