Das nenne ich mal Service Super Sache. Ich glaube Version 1 hat es mir angetan

Gibt es Infos über Kiel und Mastposition ??

Hab noch ein paar Bilder gemacht um zu zeigen wie die drei Varianten aussehen. Ist ja sonst etwas schwer vorstellbar!

Die weißen Striche, welche man auf den Bildern mehr oder weniger gut sieht, sind übrigens die Positionen für Mast (vordere Pos. für Swing, hitnere für Klassisch), Kiel und Ruder.

Ach ja, und dieses Dokument könnte vielleicht auch ganz hilfreich sein.

kleiner Irrtum.....

Die weißen Striche, welche man auf den Bildern mehr oder weniger gut sieht, sind übrigens die Positionen für Mast (vordere Pos.. für Klassisch, hitnere für Swing), Kiel und Ruder.

Die Mastposition für das Swing-Rigg liegt vor der Mastposition des konv. Riggs.
Siehe dazu auch die Darstellung in der von Dir angehängten pdf.

Hallo!

Nun noch der Plankenplan selbst. Diesen habe ich allerdings, der Einfachkeit halber, auf A1 gemacht. Somit muss dieser noch geteilt werden. Sollte aber weiters kein Problem sein!?

Der Adobe Reader hat beim Ausdrucken die Option :"Große Seiten Teilen" wenn man das anwählt kriegt man auch große Blätter auf mehrere Din A4 Seiten aufgeteilt, die muss man dann nur noch zusammenkleben.

Ich finde die Option "Große Seiten Teilen" nicht.
Ich habe den Adobe Reader 10.1.1

Sorry, das ganze ist wohl nicht so einfach wie ich zuerst angenommen habe, die Funktion steht in Adobe wohl nur dann zur Verfügung wenn diese auch vom Drucker unterstützt wird.

Um euch den ganzen Ärger zu ersparren, hänge ich hier mal die Planken geteilt auf A4 an. Das ganze ist mit einer Positionierung von 3 mm geteilt worden. Somit Ergibt sich eine Überlappung bzw. Druckrandabstand von eben jenen.

Hoffe das hilft euch weiter!

Hello Yoshio,

First of all let me thank you for all the stuff you posted here.
Then I would like to state that I'm quite new in modeling.
In 2003 I bought a (RTR) IOM Bagheera from meterboats (Sweden) with which I'm still racing. Back then I only had to put the sails together and trim the bulb to the correct weight.
Only last summer I started my first attempt to build a Footy Razor3 which after 3! disastrous builds managed to race (and win) a couple of months ago.
So please be extra patient if my questions seem stupid.

To the point, I would like to build an Apsara Bouchain and found your post searching for the frames in vector, since on the French site there are only in .jpg or an image within the .pdf
I even ported your .iges model (Ver III) in Softimage (which I use for work) but got a bit confused.
Pascal states in the English 2008 .pdf that he has tilted the frames to be vertical to the deck (instead to the waterline) and offset them to compensate the use of 1mm wood. He has also placed them 7.5 cm apart (except the first 3.25cm).
I didn't find any directions about your frames (Ver III) and compering the two I found them completely different.

I then tried within Softimage to find where they fitted on the 3D model but with no luck.
So could you please be so kind to inform me, how to place your frames. Do I have to offset them (I will probably use balsa 1,5mm or 2mm)? At the end do you keep all of them in the boat, or just a few?
Secondly is there a file with the planks for the deck as you have them for the hull (A1 paper).
Thirdly since i have to build one for my wife too (who has never sailed anything before) I would like to make it as simple as possible and decided to use an Unarig sail. Any help about the position of the mast?
Last (for now), Pascal has the keel tilted backwards do you as well? If not could you give me some pointers.

I even began a test build with cardboard before destroying balsa as I did with the Footy.





I hope my post wasn't too long or my questions too obvious.

Hey Abi,

okay, to get some light into the dark! What I did was to take the information from the document I got at the French side and put them into CATIA V5. In this way I constructed the hull/shell of the boat. Then I placed planes in the construction with an off-set for 65 mm. So starting from 0 and having a plane every 65 mm would sum up to get 11 frames and that are the ones You can find in my material posted here.

Okay, I quickly got You the planks for the deck as well. But be aware that the therein included "Heck-Spiegel" is tilted forward by 30 degree! Because of that, if You would like to build a straight Heck, all planks (Bug-Planken and Deck) will be a bit too short!

Finally, the frames You do find in the material posted her have no off-set. I did it this way to leave it up to everyone whom wants to build the boat to be able to choose his own material.
So yes, if You would use Balsa with a thickness of 1,5 mm or 2 mm You have to construct the according off-set yourself.

As for You last question about the position of keel/bulb and mast, I would take it from the original document and start from there. So the swing-rig position is given with about 380 mm from Heck and I would use it for a Una-Rig as well, the position for the traditional rig is given with 350 mm. The bulb position is given with about 265 mm from Heck. All these information can be found in the original document on page 7.

If You have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask them. I will do my best to answer them. But be warned that I'm as You also a beginner when it comes down to boat building and designing!
